The company’s origins date back to 1920 with the establishment of Giuseppe Tagliabue, a division of Società Anonima Lombarda Petroli based in Villasanta. The aim was to add value to petroleum-based lubricating fractions, marketed under the Ergoline brand.
In 1935, Lubrificanti Corbella, specializing in chemical compounds for the cement and rubber industries. By the 1970s, the company had built a strong reputation in the fasteners sector, quickly becoming a market reference point.
In 1983, Giuseppe Tagliabue acquired Lubra (formerly Lubrificanti Corbella), and in 1990, the two companies officially merged. The LUBRA name became the company’s industrial identity, while the ERGOLINE brand continued as the designation for its automotive lubricants and greases.
